En Circle — Privacy Policy

En Circle (the "App") is operated by Sherar Genius, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password in plain text.
• Profile information — a display name, and anything you choose to add such as an avatar image, a short bio, an approximate location you type in, and categories or interests.
• Content you create — posts, listings, offers, requests, and direct messages you send to other members, along with any reports or moderation flags you submit.
• Purchase records — if you send a tip or make an in-app purchase, we receive a transaction record from Apple or Google confirming the purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple and Google.
• Device & notification data — a push-notification token (via Expo) so we can deliver notifications, and basic technical data such as app version and device type needed to operate the service.

Biometric unlock (Face ID / Touch ID), if you enable it, is processed entirely on your device by your operating system. We never receive your biometric data.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To operate core features — posting, messaging, notifications, and community activity.
• To process tips and in-app purchases and keep a record of them.
• To keep the community safe — reviewing reports, moderating content, and enforcing our terms.
• To communicate with you about the service and respond to support requests.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the App, and only as needed:

• Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and file storage.
• Expo — delivery of push notifications.
• Apple & Google — processing of in-app purchases and tips.
• Other members — content you choose to share (your profile, posts, and messages you send) is visible to the members you share it with.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our members or the public.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account in the App, or by emailing us at sherargenius@gmail.com. When you delete your account we remove your profile and personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal or financial obligations (for example, purchase records).

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. You can add an extra layer of protection by enabling Face ID / Touch ID lock in the App. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. International users

We operate from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these in the App directly, or by contacting us at the email below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the App.
